Leak around kitchen sink

Our stainless double sink started leaking around the rim from sagging in the middle towards the faucet. I removed the clamps that I could access and recaulked. I had to move the rear clamps towards the middle to take the sag out. I bought some 1"L brackets and fashioned some new clamps -- added them where they will help hold the sink up more securely. Hope this helps somebody find and fix a leak around the sink. Tom M.

Mine currently has only four clips (two in the rear and one on each end) and I developed a leak at the front, between the bowls late last summer. I stopped the leak with a bead of silicone around the sink where it meets the countertop and ordered two more clips to install in the front of the sink this spring. Now you've got me thinking of maybe going to a strip of 1"x1" perforated steel angle, instead of the small clips.
