I have a Dometic NDR-1062 refrigerator and the light switch dosen't work. The light stays on all the time. My question is, how do you get the switch off to repair it. There are no visible screws. Any help appreciated.

Thanks John that's what I needed. The manual that came with the unit did not have that page in it.

Put a kid or your wife inside or you can just push the switch with the door open. Pushing the switch is probably the best choice.

Actually for that model, the light is designed to stay on if the switch for the "Low Ambient Temperature" is on. The switch is located in the freezer door frame, upper right corner. There are 2 switches there. One for Low ambient temps and one for climate control. The climate control operates a warming heater around the perimietr of the door frame to help eliminate moisture in humid conditions and the low ambient temp control the interior light. On so the fridge doesn't get too cold when the ambient temp is cold and you don't want the fridge section to act as a freezer.

We have a Landmark with the same refrigerator having an opposite problem. We can't get the light to work, even after replacing the bulb. How did you remove the light unit? There are no visible screws. Does it pry out??

Check the fuses on the circuit board on the back of the refrigerator. The board is usually accessible by removing the lower vent cover. A loose or blown fuse may be responsible. There are probably 2 automotive style fuses, similar to the type used in the main fuse box for the RV. There may also be an inline glass fuse buried in the wiring bundles.

Page 7 & 8 show the parts breakdown for the lamp in your refer. It looks like the housing is held up by an expansion rivet of some kind. Could be the push button switch is bad.
