Satellite and Cable

We took our Torque 325 Toy Hauler out this weekend for the first time since we purchased it a week ago. We did a short trip just to be sure everything worked and was o.k. It went pretty well except for the Satellite and Cable hookups. Thankfully we had a camping neighbor that was an electrician and was familiar with cable. We could not get our satellite (Dish Tailgater to work). After much investigating and testing (which by the way the dealer should do before releasing the RV) it was discovered that were bad splitters and cables throughout the camper. We had to change the cable wires and rewire all the connections. Once done satellite worked perfectly. Needless to say that took our whole day. Just wanted to inform anyone that is having trouble to test the cable wires and connections before assuming it is your satellite dish or company. This really does need to be done at the dealership as part of the testing that takes place! Not sure if that is possible but the cable connectors and wires could be tested for sure.
