under kitchen sink plumbing question

new rig. i noticed that although i’m not familiar with which lines provide which service, the one pic shows the valve turned to the closed position. does anyone know what this line serves and if in fact it should actually be closed or not? this is my first attempt at uploading so hopefully the pics are easy enough to see. much thanks.

Looks like the valve and hose on the left is to pump pink stuff to winterize the water system. What is on the other end of the flexible hose? Chris

It appears to be Y'd into the water screen filter on the pump input. Draw hose for pink stuff!!!!

Close the open valve from the tank and open the closed valve. Place to flexible hose in pink stuff jug and turn the pump on to winterize the system!

Waiting for OP to tell us what is on the other end of that hose.

And the winner is?????
