Has anyone ever been successful in trading out their lemon for a new unit?

2012 Landmark Rushmore purchased 11/11 and nothing but issues from day 1, literally. It is in service again for the 8th time, mostly all for major issues including 8 separate water leaks, refrigerator inop 2x, water heater inop, LPG failed 2x, kitchen floor bubbling up and tearing, uneven floor...

Is it ever too hot to travel

On my prior truck I had a http://www.scangauge.com/ that monitors just about everything. The main temps I wanted to watch was the transmission. My new Ford has all the digital gauges built in with warning lights, buzzers and reduced power so the engine won't blow up. Diesels can take a...

    Man, it's hot in here!!

Since we're in a dry (and hot) climate, I set the auto fan to open and turn on at max setting of 90 deg. Plus I fill a HD orange bucket about 3/4 full of water to help with dry air. All the dealers in the area have the buckets of water in the units, so I guess it has to work right?

    problems

Having a brand new RV with so many problems is extremely frustrating. Been there, done that and still doing it with my 2012 Rushmore. Contact Heartland and request to speak with the Director of Warranties. I've been fortunate as my dealer has been great in repairing all issues with me, but...

Has anyone had issues with water leaks in their Heartland Landmark?

My 2012 Landmark Rushmore has had a total of 7 "separate" water leaks, resulting in the basement storage area flooded out 3x and the bedroom carpet saturated 2x. All leaks have been repaired by dealer and pressure tested each time as well as all fittings tightened. But it still manages to...

    SLIDES.... In or Out

For me it's slides in as instructed by dealer. A camping neighbor in a Montana Big Sky does it with slides out and gets an error message each time. I told him to try it with slides in and no more message.

4th water leak in 3 months in brand new Landmark, how do full-timers deal with it?

<o:pIn the 3 months I’ve owned my 2012 Landmark Rushmore, I’m on leak #4 which again saturated a portion of the bedroom carpet and flooded my basement (for the 2nd time). All leaks have been in separate locations and now going in for the second time for repairs. The first repair (3 leaks) took...

Bedroom slide destroyed my basement storage door

    2011 F350 SRW 6.7 4x4 FX4 20" Wheels Bed Height Issues?

Greg, I have the same truck and I'm on my 2nd 5th wheel with same truck. The pin weight dropped it down some in which air bags were installed to level out. I doubt you will have any issues at all, but if you do then you can make small height adjustments on your hitch and pin box. My...

    Step Ladder for Trucks

Another huge vote for FORD and the Man-Step. At first Ithought it was a ridiculous idea, until I tried it out when buying my truck.WOW, what a selling point for Ford (next to their new design and new dieselengine!).

1st time taking new Landmark in winter snow

Decided to take my dogs (wife had to work) and try my new 2012 Landmark Rushmore up to the White Mountains of Arizona. My dogs fit right in. Amazed at how the insullation on these new rigs are. Got down to 6 or 7 deg during the night and kept warm throughout. Just a little drip!!!Camped at...

    Misting System

Living in the AZ desert, having misters is a must for anyoutdoor activity. I have them throughout the back patio and pool area. For yourawning, I would suggest the flexible hose type with the misting nozzles. Itattaches directly to the water line but be sure to use an inline filter toreduce...

    Thank You Heartland Owners

While researching into which make/model 5th wheel I was going to purchase, I have to say I learned a lot from this group forum. This in turn helped my decision to purchase a 2012 Landmark Rushmore. It has the full-body paint and all the bells and whistles. The auto-levelers are amazing! I...
