I suppose you could plumb a pipe between the two gray tanks , so they would act as one 90 gal tank.. i think the easiest solution is to do what Katkins suggested and also be careful of water use ie: capture that first gal or 2 that comes from shower head while waiting for hot into a pan and dump...

Ken is correct on the check valve ..Try the quick connect on your hoses ,It's nice. another way to make a quick fix is to put one of those on-off hose valves with a quick connect on the fill

Porthole ,, Most likely you have a 'chill grill' in your main AC. It refers to the vents in the plastic AC cover( slide vents) that you can open to allow the cool air into the main living space.. Rather than buying a new AC cover with the vents built in, for many dollars , Augusta's mod...

I think what Jim is saying is that the brass nipple screws into the tank and the check valve screws into the brass nipple,,So when something goes bad , just unscrew the nipple and the checkvalve comes out too.. Repair on work bench and then replace nipple and checkvalve into tank

porthole .. As we were parked next to you at Pine Grove , I should have had you over to see how our AC is set up.. Both AC units feed the same 2 ducts that run from front to back..There is one choke point where the 2 side by side ducts merge into one . At about the half way mark. So 1 AC feeds...

Thought maybe you were exhausting the air from basement..

There seems to be plenty of people that have no trouble without having a slider , But if you still have concerns, get the manual slider and save some good money. Reese makes some nice hitches that are not as spendy as others and easy to install Just my opinion YMMV
