    Filling DEF Tank

I like the "just put fuel in it and go". I seems so much simpler then worrying about another tank to keep full. The old dodges rule!

Took the big jump and went to 17.5 wheels and "J" rated tires

The xps ribs (LT235/85R16) have a maximum speed rating of 75 mph. The XTA 215/75R17.5 have a maximum speed rating of 62 mph. So I slow down a little, not a bad thing. However the good thing, the XTA,s are rated to carry an additional 1763 pounds of weight. That is an addition of 3.5 tons...

Took the big jump and went to 17.5 wheels and "J" rated tires

Bob I replaced the set of Michelin XPS ribs that I purchased back in 2005. The XPS ribs are a good tire and I have not had any problems with them. I plan to reuse them on my car trailer. The overall diameter of the XTA's are a little over an inch smaller, however they don't flatten out...

Wheels and Tires Well, my replacement tire were getting a little old (purchased new in 2005). So decided to jump up to 17.5's and add some "J" rated rubber. Real nice wheels and tire combo. Now come on summer, I can not wait to see how they handle.

    Self install a 5th airborne?

Installed the unit on mine the other year by myself. It can be done, and is not that hard. Have some drift pins ready to hold the unit in the vertical position, then swing it up in place. Oh, lift some weights for a week or so before to get ready for the task.

    Happy Birthday Jim!

Yes, great day, even got to use my newest modification to the old dodge, a pull down step to lessen the strain entering and exiting the bed of the truck. I normally just use the rear drive wheel as a step, but since the 19.5 wheels, 35 inch tall tires, and one year older, etc. I needed to do...

    outside spray port

I use my all the time. It is great for putting water on the camp fire before retiring for the night. Also for washing off the mud and sand at the camp site. You can buy an adapter that fits the quick disconnect and has a MPT for a standard hose. Also great when dry camping, allows you to...

    Gauges for your TV..

Having a Rail pressure gauge and Fuel pressure gauge really helps keep an eye on the CP3 pump and the injectors operation. A must with these common rail (CR) diesels. Also run a 2 micron (CAT) final filter is a must with the today's fuels.

    Gauges for your TV..

I max out at 1000*F EGT after all the tuning mods. Not bad for the old dodge. High EGTs can really kill an engine. In stock form they run hot, too hot.

    Reico-Titan Ground Control System

The Reico is a great system. Easy to install and operate. I always go by the bolt torque on the rated bolt chart not by the installation papers provided with the equipment. Fast and easy to use, and the great thing is the ability to raise and lower the pin while in the truck during the...
