Hi All, Sorry to say that we have to cancel our rally plan... two other family events have now been planned around that time. Hope to see everyone at some of the other Heartland events.

This all sounds like fun. Now that it gets dark so much earlier, what time does the actual "illuminating" start? (This may sound like a silly question, but we have never seen been to this event before.) Will the picnic be "lunch" or "dinner" or just "continuous" :)

Hi All, Well I have to tell everyone that we will not be able to attend the HH ralley next month. Jim has been having increasing discomfort in his right hand and arm and will be having carpal tunnel surgery. Because it is very difficult to get a "date" with the surgeon there is a good chance...

Since we now plan to arrive on Thursday (leaving on Tuesday) we will be happy to help with the BBQ on Friday. We have a table and grill that we we will bring.

thanks Ray. It seems that, in addition to the speed and connection issues, you found that the set-up and continued "maintenance" of the USB modem was easier than the mifi? I want something that I don't have to "play" with too often. Also - do you have a contract or a pay-as-you-go plan...

does anyone use a smart phone as a "mobile hotspot" connection instead of a mifi? I just found that Verizon offers phones with this option. I might consider this instead of having a phone AND a mifi.
