Fuel quality is not poor but some of the smaller stations that don't move much product can get water from sitting for a while. I always carry a set of fuel filters cause you never know. If you have the fortune to fill up after the tanker fills the tank, you may need one.

As does mine but i find it inadequate for my needs as it lets it get too cold before it warms up. I use mine a mobile office and am in it all day. The 6.0 came prewired for a high idle all you need to do is add a switch.

Might not be the best thing for it. My 6.0 can idle for 10 hours a day when i am at work and it hasn't hurt it. I have a high idle switch that bumps the rpm to 1200. I have many friends with the 6.4L and theirs idle as well. I would reccomend the high idle to help keep the engine warm.

The glow plugs on the powerstroke continue to run for up to 2 minutes after starting. Maybe the Cummins does the same as well as the grid heater.

My 6.0l is a very good reliable engine. And so were my 7.3l's for that matter.

Do you have to run an IFTA card on that truck or are you excempted somehow?

Could run a coolant line to it or an electric heater similar to the fuel bowl heater.
