Anchorage, Alaska visit

Spending 3 days in Anchorage, Alaska end of July 2012. What is some day trips, sites etc you could recommend to go do and see?

You did not say if you were on a cruise, just visiting, or in an RV either case Alaska is truly the last frontier with lots of interesting things to do and see. We were in Alaska this past summer and it was a great trip. You can see where we were and what we did while in Alaska on the thread that I started right after the Heartland National Rally. These are 3 things we enjoyed last summer when we were there. Check out the website Trip Advisor Things to do in Anchorage, AK for a ton of stuff to do and see. There are also comments about everything. Sometimes they're helpful sometimes not.

Have a good time! Try to get out of the city, if you can.
