Likely for some control system. Thermostat perhaps? Do you have a separate thermostat on that unit or are the controls you use, on the unit itself?

Thanks for the reply. Nothing is plugged into the jack, it is sitting there collecting dust.

Is the location inside or out? Did you purchase this unit from someone? Could have been for satellite or exterior antenna?

You didn't mention the year of your rig, on mine, an 06, it is for the wireless remote control thermostat I have since converted it to wired after haveing to replace the module twice. The second time it failed, the module was discontinued, forcing me to convert to the wired stat.
