2007 Sundance 3200ES Bedroom Slide water damage

I agree ... I just finished repairing the broken roller on the front bedroom slide. The rollers that are bolted ... well, really they're cheaply screwed with cheap, short cabinet screws, broke off and the slide started to "slide" on the framed opening of the camper wall. The broken screws...

    Repairing the black tank valve

I don't know though I do understand why they wold like it to be that way. I also understand that it's not a perfect world and "stuff" happens!

    Repairing the black tank valve

Check with the dealer 1st. When I asked about it they said the black tank had to be empty and sanitized for them to work on it. Not sure how one does that when it doesn't drain in the 1st place but that's what I was told.

    Repairing the black tank valve

I have the same issue with the black tank valve and I really like Gary's idea of putting the valve side of the RV up on blocks so the "stuff" can slosh to the other side of the tank! I wasn't sure how I was going to deal with this. And yes, I've flushed the tank till the cows came home and it...

ATF: Sundance - Roof rafter layout request for new vent install

jcarnevale, Thank you, I saw those (I've done many searches on many sites) but I can't make out the rear roof area well enough.

ATF: Sundance - Roof rafter layout request for new vent install

Hello, I have a 2008 Sundance 2997BHS (#008804) and I want to install a new Fantastic Fan style vent in the back bunk house for added sunlight and air circulation. This obviously requires cutting a 14" square hole in my roof and I was hoping that I could get a drawing (or even a photograph) of...

    Cougar or Sundance..opinions

Biggziff, We have the unit below in my sig. While we've had several issues and problems with it ... i.e.: the shock mounts were welded to the frame in the wrong place, the shower leaks, tank sensors failing, someone in the factory went "staple gun happy" on the kitchen cabinets (and their aim...

Checking the propane level in tanks

With the Marshall 250 auto changeover regulator it will draw from both tanks ... first from the "Service" tank and then from the "Reserve" tank. You, the RV owner, turn the selector lever to the "Service" tank (whichever tank you want to use first) and the other tank becomes your "Reserve" tank...

    Towing a 3300 RLB Sundance

I pull a 2997BHS with a 2002 Chevy 2500HD D/A CC short box 4x4 and it pulls ... and stops ... just fine out here in NYS and surrounding areas. Though I don't full time or keep the RV loaded either so my weights may, or may not be, lower than others.

    Heat Strip questions???

I only have one 15K BTU a/c in the living room/kitchen area and that's where I put it. So, yes, it does blow through the a/c duct work. To use the heat strip, all I do is slide the switch on the thermostat to "Heat Strip" (or some such label), and set the temperature, again on the thermostat...

    Heat Strip questions???

I just added a heat strip to my a/c unit myself and it screwed right in. I was told by Dometic that it's a 1500w heater. Heartland was also "nice enough" to have already run the 7 (?) wire thermostat wire for me ... the units without the heat strip only need 6 (I think). Either way, the wire was...

Cyclone door locks not keyed alike???

I used to have different keys for the 2 doors on my Sundance 2997BHS. I ordered a whole new door lock/dead bolt assembly, keyed just like the other door, for around $30+\- (with shipping). I now have one key that fits both doors. It was extremly easy to install (only 4 phillips head screws). If...

    Propane fitting outside?

Do you have to worry about the propane psi? I remember reading somewhere that the psi needed for a gas grill, lantern, etc. is different than that needed for the RV appliances. Am I nuts on this?

    Fresh water pick up?

Bram, The thin wall S.S. tubing that I used almost goes to the middle of the tank and the slight bend (radius) that I put in the tube dips down toward the sag/bow in the tank so it should work as your describing ... though I don't think I'll ever get all of the water out (not even when I need...

    Fresh water pick up?

I just went through this on my '08 Sundance 2997BHS. I have a rectangle shapped tank that is mounted level with the frame (no slope what-so-ever). It has a port (or bung) that is glued/welded to the narrow side of the tank at the lower edge (as far down as it can). It has no pick-up tube and I...
