Wheel to wheel step/nerf bars for dually

I want to add steps/nerf bars to my long bed dually, but have yet to find ones that I like. My preference is a tubular step (round or oval) vs. a running board with the whole length having a stepping surface vs. the 3 individual step areas that some bars have. I'd love to see pics of what...

Ventured into the satellite world and so far a bit disappointed

Does this get into using data on your ipad, mifi plan? Most places I have stayed don't have wifi that would support serious data usage, so have been hesitant to try the slingbox option...but still considering it.

Slides in/slides out surviving the storm

As to the original question...I doubt there's a finite answer due to so many variables, but I'll pass my experience and advice on. Keep in mind we are from NC and never spent any time in the Midwest. We were in Kansas last Sept and a rain storm came up...just rain at first, then without any...

Ventured into the satellite world and so far a bit disappointed

For the most part, I don't care where my locals are coming from. If they are where I last parked the RV, that's OK because like Bill says above, I can either use the campground cable or the roof antenna (usually) to get local locals. What I do get by having locals come in thru the Dish network...

Ventured into the satellite world and so far a bit disappointed

As a TV junkie and hard core user of DVR, I needed a better solution than using cable at home and campground cable/OTA while on the road, sometimes for a few months at a time. I wanted to switch to satellite so I could have the same service at home and on the road. Direct TV came out and said...

    Trailer Saver TS3 questions

Many thanks to all who commented and provided me with their experiences and advice. Aaron is just as everyone says he is, very helpful. I ordered the TS3 along with the air compressor w/ switch, 3" spacer kit as Aaron said I would need, the wiring harness that powers the air compressor, a lube...

    Trailer Saver TS3 questions

Yes, they do supply them at a cost. It's not a lot, but I've had bad experiences with others working on my stuff, so I would rather do it myself. Not drilling extra holes seems like a good thing, but know that they won't weaken the frame anyway. I have found 3 different rails on the Reese...

    Trailer Saver TS3 questions

Have hoist, can lift. I currently have a PullRite Super Glide and this is how I get it out of my 2500. I learned that not only does Reese have brackets that fit existing holes in the truck frame, but they have an "outboard" style bracket and rails where the rails attach to the bracket on the...

    Trailer Saver TS3 questions

After reading reviews on several forums, I am looking to buy the TS3 air hitch now to go in a new 3500 Silverado, just wondering about a few issues & options: Does anyone use mounting other than standard bedrails ? I've never had bedrails that stay in the truck (only my removeable pullrite...

Driving the perimeter of the lower 48

Unless you've already "been there, done that", you would want to include the Keys in your tour to truly travel the perimeter. We did the perimeter of Fla a while back in a month...didn't see everything, but so glad we included the Keys.

New Jersey to San Diego Ca via I40

Vinny, That's quite a trip you've got planned and certainly doable, but I don't recommend trying to beeline it. From my 5 yrs of RV'ing and taking longer trips, I'll offer my advice to make it a more pleasurable trip. Pick a route you want to travel and identify any stops you want to make to...

    Verizon Home Phone Connect

I find that the employees in my local Verizon store are just not in tune with details such as the above statement or I may have already purchased one. They also did not know the details of suspending the MiFi I bought in January...now I find that I can only suspend it for a max of 180 days per...

I-40 from Asheville, NC to Pigeon Forge, TN

Re: rt40ashvillenc to pigonforge tn If your camper is well under your max towing capacity, then you should have no trouble at all. I've got a 3/4 ton truck and pull a fiver that's 3K lbs under my max trailer wt and I go up Black Mtn grade with the cruise on at 55-60 mph....sometimes I'm even...
