    a/c controls

If you are in Auto, your Heat is not off. In auto, the thermostat will turn on either heat or cool to get whatever range you set on your heat or cool settings. Go to Heat, turn the temp down below your anticipated lowest temperature, then go to Cool and set the hottest you want it to get. Go...

    Accessing A/C Return Air Vent?

If you have a ducted system (there is no through roof unit) and you have a wall-mounted thermostat, the divider is accessible through the rooftop unit. Remove the top cowling and look straight down through the fan. You will see a divider there. Before doing that, though, use a non contact...

    Satellite Install

Just did mine a while back. Very intimidating, making the initial hole. In your bedroom is a blank outlet plate in the ceiling. Take it off and you will be staring at a large block of styrofoam. Dig a hole. A few inches up you will find three rolls of wire. Two coaxes and a black control...

    Bighorn - Air Conditioner model

OK, here's the information. The A/C units on the 2015 Bighorns are Dometic Hi Performance 15K BTU, Black, with CCC2 thermostats. They are model 541816AXX1J0. I got the board and capacitor replaced and it's too chilly to really try it, but I turned it down and tried running it, and at first, I...

    Bighorn - Air Conditioner model

Thank you. I have been researching my notes and think I have located the actual type from commas I had for a failed board. Now I just need to locate a manual and try to identify the actual part number. I have searched online and come up with nothing using the nameplate data from the...

    Bighorn - Air Conditioner model

I have a component failure in the Dometic air conditioner and I need the model number of the unit. I know it is a Dometic 15000 BTU HD model, but I need the actual model number to do a parts search. This is on a 2015 Bighorn 3270RS.

Axle Alignment - Pics - Requesting Opinions

Let me make a suggestion, since the wear is only on the outside. Take a pole and extend it straight down from the front center of your trailer's tongue. Take a piece of wood, center it in front of one of the front tires, making sure it is exactly vertical. Pull a string from the pole to the...

Air Conditioner blowing funny smell out of the vents

Oh, I know... the one in the bedroom sounds like a freight train. I'll bet this evening, if you run it, it will be fine. I was talking about the external heat exchanger. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Air Conditioner blowing funny smell out of the vents

First, I'd be willing to bet you accidentally touched the button, shifting the temp from F to C. 32 C = 89.6 F. There are eight screws holding the cowl on the shell of your A/C unit. Turn the unit off, pull the screws and reach into the unit with a brass brush and remove the lint buildup...

    Camping World acquires Gander Mountain

Sounds like crap, but in actuality, he was being brutally honest. The business of business is business. What he was just saying is that his focus is more on the process than the product, and as the guy in the front office of a multi focused company, he better be looking at the business and let...

    Gfci tripping

Did this happen since you have been at one location or has it happened in different campsites? I ask, because sometimes the incoming voltage will fluctuate and that will create an overcurrent condition when voltage dips low (P=I X E so P/E = I with P constant, division by a smaller E gives you...

Thanks, and yes, I saw that, but the one on your post was on one of the newer Bighorns. Mine has the older back end on it that has the sharp in-sweeping slant right under the backup lights. Further down on the thread someone has a picture of an older Bighorn installation, but without the...

    ATF: Bighorn - Ladder

Due to my own stupidity, I had to replace the ladder on the back of our 2015 3270RS. When I contacted Heartland, they informed me that the ladder that came with mine (manufactured by Atwood) is no longer available. They have gone with a new supplier and they are at least 2 months behind on...
