I re-keyed the outside cabinet locks @ $18 each. I dropped the four locks off at a local locksmith and they were done in one day and are keyed the same.

Bighorn full body paint is back. I talked to Tom Montague at the Tampa Show and he said that you can again order a Bighorn with full body paint and the brochures are printed with the full body paint option of black/red or black/tan. This is great news, thanks Heartland, thanks Tom.

The new Bighorns at the Tampa Show have West Lake tires on them, G rated tires. I have never heard of West Lake tires before.

I have used Gorilla Tape then sprayed Flex Spray to hold the edges down and it’s seems to work for the last 6 months and looks neat.

You might try replacing the start capacitor. I believe units have two, one for compressor and one for fan. As for low Freon, there is no recharging the unit although some people have modified them.

Hitch rails were installed as per instructions with all nuts, bolts and washers included with the hitch. I believe miles of towing loosened them. I check wheel lugs often, I’m now adding hitch bolts to that list. Post was for FYI.

On our 2011 Grand Canyon, we just put the chair in the full recline position, turned it sideways, and it went right thru the door. Backs also come off to lighten the load, but more work that way.

Liz, I made a top of slide sweeper some twelve years ago out of 1” PVC pipe attached to a mop head. The best way to describe it is it looks like an upside down J. The sweeper unscrews into 3 pieces. I also sometimes put towels at the inside corners of the slide on really heavy rains.

The window I added behind the docking station in the basement wall was sized to a clear piece of plastic I bought from Lowe’s. I routed out the 1X2” wood so the plastic can slide open. I used a rubber bumper for a knob. The window allows me to check plumbing without taking the wall down.

If it winds up being the shear pin, you will have to time the wall to get sides to coming correctly. I had my shear pin break on a SOB and it took several attempts to get it timed correctly. Also, replace it with the same grade bolt because it is meant to break if there is a problem.

Try looking for a broken shear pin (nut and bolt) on a square shaft over rod. You can check it out by having someone hit the switch and see if the gear on side not coming in is turning. Good luck.
