    Basement Organizing

I really like the duct work enclosure as ours is the same way yours was and is always prone to damage. I think I may need to find this product also.

    New Owner Hitch Question?

Hey there, What kind of hitch do you have? My Reese slider used to do this. I switched to a Curt and the problem is gone. Kinda scrares you on startup huh??

    Added New Awning LEDs

SJS, Yes I ordered the same kit you did. My plan- if possible- is to mount the light strip on the actual awning tube, then run the wiring down the awning arm to the trailer. This is where I am unsure- follow the awning motor wiring into the trailer and fish it into the basement and hook...

    Added New Awning LEDs

SJS- thanks for the reply...I am torn whether to mount them as you did..or.. mount them on the awning roller. I was thinking your way originally, but then saw the OP and liked the way the light reflected onto the trailer. Was there any way you could have run the cord inside the trailer (ie...

    Added New Awning LEDs

Can somebody grab some pictures of how the wiring is routed and how it hooks up to the power souce. I am very interested in this mod and have already ordered the lights and controller. I think both ways of mounting the lights have pros and cons but am leaning towards mounting the lights on the...

Repairing the slides on my Bighorn.

Thanks for sharing. There are a great deal of us that have some sort of damage due to Heartlands poor sealant idea on earlier trailers. Could you give us a rough idea of how much this cost you? I have a RV tech friend that said around $4000 to remove my large slide and replace the entire floor...

access to ods landing gear leg for conversion to dual motor

I too installed the ground control system and ran into the same problem you have. I managed to squeeze into the front generator area and barely squeezed into where the tie bar bolt is. I undid the nut and turned the bar to let the small bolt fall out. Then squeezed under the trailer and up into...

Auto leveling and other add-ons on the BC

Ours are mounted inside and John was awesome on my questions when installing the Reico-Titan. System works awesome and is by far the best upgrade I have done. Maybe takes 5 minutes to set the trailer up after unhooking from the truck. I highly recommend the Reico Titan system!!

    Step Mod To 3250TS

Thanks for the shout back guys. As you have probably found, there isn't a great deal of room at the door for extra shoes. I had seen a couple of other posts with modifications to the steps to create more storage. Seems like a good idea but as I said earlier, I can't find any screws or fasteners...

    Step Mod To 3250TS

Has Anybody done a mod to the steps that lead upstairs for storage? I was looking this weekend for screws to take the tread off of mine but couldn't find any. Any help would be appreciated. A few members have made a storage bin under the steps but I have slightly curved/rounded steps so they...

    "Don't leave unattended"?

We have our seasonal site for 4 years now. We had very good friends that were across from us for the last 3. They continually left their two dogs locked up in their trailer when they to do their stuff. These two dogs drove everybody around nuts. When they returned, our friends wouldn't believe...

    Rieco Titan Ground Control System

Hey guys, John really helped me out when I installed the system on my Big Country. My experiance went like this. Like John, I replaced the self tapping bolts with grade 8 bolts. I twisted two of the supplied bolts off with mine off with a small 3/8 socket. Good bits are a must, and a helper...

    Reico-Titan Ground Control System

Hey guys. We got out system mounted on our 3250 last weekend. Went pretty well with the only real issue was trying to get the tie bar from the original jack undone. There wasn't much room on the top of the off door side to run a wrench. I replaced the supplied fasteners with grade 8 bolts after...

    Design Suggestions for 3250

A few ideas.... storage inside the steps that go upstairs, pull out bins in the pantry, more room at the dining room table, the table between the two recliners, a double fridge option, no carpet on the lower level option, king bed option, worth while storage under the bed.

    Interior Mold

The only thing we stored in that drawer was pots and frying pans. There were no other chemicals or anything. We did have to run through some wet snow on the way to our storage location. I'm sure these trailers are pulled through these conditions and worse with no problems so I just don't get...

    Interior Mold

Howdy, We de-winterized our Big Country this weekend and found an unpleasant surprise. When we opened our pots and pan drawer, we discovered the sides were covered with a black mold. The track it rides in was also corroded. I removed the drawer and checked the carpet and walls and they were...

    Reico-Titan Ground Control System

Keep us posted on how it 's going. I just got the go ahead from the war department!!! I called Reico-titan today to see about a distributer up here and found two. They are freeking nuts on price so I will order from the states. After tax, duty, and shipping, it will still be cheaper that way. If...

    Reico-Titan Ground Control System

Hey Rick, did you have any luck finding a canadian distributer? I am thinking that I would be interested also. Does anybody think that the 4 point system will cause any frame twist problems? I know that the six point systems all say that they are superior to the 4 point. Just curious.

    Just bought a 2011 BC 3250TS

Enjoy the new rig. It has a great layout that we really like. Make sure you check EVERYTHING on the trailer -inside and out. Make sure you check the winterizing system valves for correct operation, the slides for correct operation and adjustment, the airbed in the couch for holes and abrasions...

$9.00 to prevent slide floor de-lamination

So I contacted Heartland this week and played phone-tag until the costumer service rep and myself finally found each other. I explained the situation and the research I had done on this forum. He agreed that there is a kit to solve this problem and was going to ship it to me after explaining how...

$9.00 to prevent slide floor de-lamination

Here we go, I guess I am in the same boat. I contacted Heartland C.S. so hopefully I will hear soon..... Satellite Cable Problems

We have a 2010 3250ts and didi the same thing. I ran the coax into the trailer at the udc to the living room tv satelite receiver. I then put a splitter between the receiver box and the living room tv running one line to the tv and the other to the cable outlet behind the tv on the wall. Next I...

    towing tips needed

Hey fellow driver. One nice thing- NO Logbook!!! My truck feels a little soft when cornering as compared to my Pete. Backing is almost a little easier with my pickup as you are alot closer to the trailer to watch when backing in on your good side. I'm sure you will make out real well. Enjoy your...

    Satellite /Cable Wiring diagram/schematic

You will need to turn your splitter in the basement around to allow the satellite signal through. It shoulld be behind the basement wall behind the cable wall plate. I had to do this because of the same problem. Sounds like we wired our trailers up the samme. Good luck to yah.

Curt Q5 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch

It really must be an optical illusion because I had my Reese 16k hitch on the top holes and tried the Curt on the top setting. After hooking up I found that I had 11" of clearance. I dropped the hitch down to the next lower set of holes and still have about 9". I really like the Curt Q5. It is a...

    Loose nuts on suspension

I did our wash/ repack bearings/ detail this weekend. After looking at all the posts about loose u-bolts, I checked ours. Sure enough the front axle had 5 of the 8 nuts loose. I got about 1/2 a turn out of most and about 1 1/2 out of one before they were torqued. This is a great bunch here with...

Good to hear you got your buggy back. As someone already said, please keep a record of your phone calls and if/when they were returned, if the issues with your trailer and if they were fixed or not. When you spend the kind of money we spend on these trailers, you would think that the...

How do they come off and how hard is it going to be...
