Best slide topper?

I won't say these are the BEST, but we went with the Solera and they're holding up OK. One of them has a 9" length of edge piping pulling out. But if it's a data point for you, we went with these because they were an easy self-install and you can buy them in any length on Amazon. In 2021 dollars my history says we got three 7' units for $324ea.
It kind of depends on your criteria. I'd say Dometic is one of the most recognized brands and might have the best service and warranty. And you know going with one of the top brands it'll be easy to find replacement canvas in the future. That's important because it's a wear item - it doesn't matter what brand you buy, it won't last forever once the sun gets on it. So figure a replacement every 10 years or so. Solera is definitely up there, though, and I'm a DIY guy so for me, an easy DIY install at a low cost was a good balance. YMMV.

I have had the best luck with Carefree of Colorado. Great customer service as well.
