R.O. water systems

Hi all have any of you tried to recapture the water lost from your R.O. system. R,V, water store has A kit that routes the excess water they use back into the fresh water tank. at first I thought it would not be good but it all runs through the filters so why wouldnt it work? long before I discovered this I thought of installing A seperate fresh water tank to run it into to use as shower, toilet ,washing water. through A system of valves, or A seperate pump.but thats awfull extensive and expensive. what do you all think.
