Replacement Tires

Want to replace the Duro tires ASAP and looking for comments on Carlisle ST Radial Trail tires and Maxxis M80008 ST radials. I can get the Carlisle tires locally but would have to have the Maxxis tires shipped to me and put on by a local shop.

Saildog, I moved your question into the "Tires" area of the forum. Your thread will still be able to be viewed by everyone. My thoughts on your question, Go for the Maxxis. Just my opinion. I've had Maxxis on a previous trailer and had no problems. I've had no exposure to the Carlisle other than a lighter rated tire on my utility trailer. They wore pretty fast.

I second Ray's comments...stay away from the Carlisle tires...they have a really poor reputation.

Thanks! I also did some web searches on Carlisle and was not pleased with the comments. Looks like there are two places to get Maxxis tires about 1/2 hour from home so have to jump on that. We leave for the Adirondacks August 28 and I don't want to travel with the Duro tires.
