This morning the furnance, came on with all 3 ac's set to auto. Didn't stay on long but was blowing hot air from vents. Any thoughts. 2015 key west.

Need a little more info. Was hot air blowing out of ceiling vents or floor vents? Do you have heat pumps or standard air conditioners?

Floor vents standard ac. The thermostats were set at 74. Outside temp was 61. It didn't stay on long and all were set to auto

Hola, Pat! Take a look at the thermostat that is controlling your kitchen AC as it likely controls both the kitchen AC and the furnace. (I think it's the bottom thermostat in the hallway.)

Make sure that the kitchen AC/furnace controller isn't running a program where you have a temperature range selected, e.g., furnace will come on at 67 degrees and the air conditioner will come on at 74 degree (just as an example). This could turn on your furnace which will pump heat throughout the Key West. However, it may also trigger your living room and/or bedroom AC which are trying to keep the interior cool.

There may be other things going on so I'm sure others will chime in soon with their suggestions.

Re: Furnance came on

One of your thermostats controls the furnace as well as one air conditioner. Some thermostats, the Dometic Comfort Control II for example, have an auto mode that's supposed to switch between air conditioner and furnace automatically. This is different from having the FAN Mode set to AUTO. If the temp at that thermostat dropped by a few degrees, it might have shifted into heat mode.

If you'd like to control what happens, change the thermostat mode to either COOL or HEAT and it will operate in that mode only. Keep the FAN Mode set to AUTO. If the fan is set to high or low, when the furnace starts, the A/C blower will also start, pushing air out the ceiling vents.
