I am looking for instructions for making the proper connections for the entertainment system
and trying to get the surround sound to work properly

Assuming it hasn't been taken apart, replaced, or otherwise disturbed, I'd expect the DVD plays through the surround sound speakers, but the TV is not connected. If you're trying to connect the TV, you'll need to know what audio outputs are on the TV and what audio inputs are on the surround sound. If you don't have the manuals, you should be able to search the manufacturer websites for the manuals, based on the model #.

Once you know the audio output and input types, consult our RV Audio Connections Illustrated User Guide to determine what cabling or other devices you need to make the connection.
