Summer in/near Macedonia, OH

We will be snowbirding out of FLA next May-Sept with a 5er for the Akron/Canton OH area, as our son and his family reside in there. We have been out of the routine "camping" circle for the last 20+ years and spoiled with our owned site in a Deed Restricted Gated RV Community in Western NY.
Grand kids, (5 & 7) draw us to this area, and our daughter lives in the Berkshires of western MA. There, we have searched, visited and found what appears to be a very nice Campground for a month or so there in MA.
In Ohio we did not feel so lucky this last weekend. Realizing that Labor Day is the last fling of summer, AND the worst time to "shop" campgrounds, we found the pickings less then desirable for us old duffers, who just want to relax and enjoy life.

Any ideas what we may have missed in our search?

Added RV Parky to my smart phone, which was most helpful, but it and Woodall's may have missed a gem or two along the way. We're not looking to be entertained every minute...after 51 years of marriage, we still do enjoy each other.
Suggestions would be appreciated!

Two days of driving to 8+ campgrounds had us covering some beautiful country side, but we weren't smitten by any one campground in particular.

Good point.... I'll list the ones we will "pass" on first. Understand we've been spoiled by owning our own site, a Park Model Breckenridge in a Deed Restricted, gated RV Community on two lakes, on 480 acres of trees for 37 years, in NY state! Not that we haven't camped across the US in those years as well.

The Streetsboro KOA might be worth a look for you. They have seasonal sites and only about 15 miles from Macedonia.

PM c.brown who lives over in that area. He should be able to steer you in a good direction. Best of luck.
