Had a great time at the rally! The seminars were very very helpful for us newbies as were campers near us (IF 507), the NY folks! Service department was great...we had a flooded basement do to a water valve leak...and they fixed it right away!

Just want to thank Jim B. and everyone involved in putting the rally together. Fantastic job!

Thanks to Jim and everyone who worked so hard to put on the biggest and "baddest" rally yet!

Thanks Julie. And you're not going to get away with being thanked yourself. Most know I can't put on this rally by myself. I had AN ARMY of volunteers - and I thank you all! Julie helped behind the scenes before and during this rally. It really helped keep me sane and she's really a good "double-check" for me and some things I plan and do.

The comments on this rally are too numerous to address one at a time. I appreciate them all. And while not everything went as planned and other things were forgotten, please rest assured that I will do a post-mortem on the rally and take away all I can in order to do this even better. In face to face discussions with attendees and meetings with some of my leadership team, I've received tons of actionable constructive feedback. Love it.

I had an absolute blast at the rally!

Heartland RV Owners Rally Attracts 218 Rigs

June 17, 2011 by RV Business Leave a Comment

Owners trailers lined up at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds

Around 440 RVers and 218 rigs assembled this week at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Ind., for the 2011 North American Heartland Owners Rally.
The event, running June 15-19, marked the sixth year that Elkhart, Ind.-based Heartland Recreational Vehicles has hosted a national rally for its growing owners club. Organizers said that attendees, representing 29 states and three Canadian provinces, were enjoying a mix of instructional seminars, leisure-time activities and entertainment.
“We have something for everyone,” noted Jim Beletti, director of owners interests for Heartland and president of the Heartland Owners Club. “We are holding 24 seminars over three days conducted by our vendors that focus on the use, care and maintenance of your RV. And for those who are looking for something less technical, we have Heartland owners showing people the variety of hobbies they do while on the road.”

Heartland owners attend one of 24 seminars

The proceedings also feature a marketplace with 23 vendors while six Heartland RV products are on display provided by Elkhart dealer Great Lakes RV Center.
Highlighting the rally, eight buses will be transporting club members on Saturday to Heartland’s manufacturing complex for a factory tour where Heartland President and CEO Brian Brady will address the group. Following lunch, attendees will take a tour of the RV/MH Hall of Fame on the north side of Elkhart.
“The real objective is for people to have a good time,” said Beletti. “It’s all about celebrating the camaraderie of RVing and being able to rekindle old relationships.”

We were late getting started this morning, but thanks to Bob Teage from Lippert/trailair we got on the road. Bob I cannot thank you enough, for all of you who do not know Bob he is the hydrolic wizard for Lippert/Trailair. I feel really embarrassed because it was nothing more than a loose wire.

We are now in Iowa at a Passport America campground, there is a Bighorn here but no one is around. I know they weere at the rally because they have a red sticker on the front.

Enough for now.

We have been asked by several people to give an accounting of our travels, Julie and I have talked it over and we feel the best way is to create a blog. So for anyone who is interested that is where future travel updates will be.

I have begun the process of downloading pictures to the Gallery (Found On The Tools Tab). I have accumulated over 3000 photo's from attendees so this will be an ongoing process for a few days. Keep checking back from time to time and thanks to everyone who shared their files for all to see.

What a blast this has been! Can't wait for 2013!

Mary and I had a another great time with friend both old and new. Thanks to all that worked behind the scenes and made this another awesome rally.
Our eight days just flew by and we enjoyed every minute of it. Well, except for one hour that I seem to have lost somewhere.

I just want to reiterate all the great comments on how wonderful the rally was. I can only imagine all the hard work that goes into planning an event like this, and from my view point, there wasn't one thing I would change.

A BIG THANKS TO JIM AND ALL HIS HELPERS.

P.S. We are the ones who won the 40 inch Television. We went through the border - into Canada - with no problems what-so-ever. Love the new Television. Thanks to the dealer that donated it.

And to our neighbours and all the friends we met on our FIRST North America rally, we can't wait to see you again.

Once again thank you for such a lovely time.

Roy and Jean - thank you for your comments and congrats on your "big win". The Club supplied the 32" TVs and Patrick Industries, one of our suppliers supplied the 40 incher you one. See you at the next rally!

We got home today around 3:45 pm after continuing our rally last night at Punderson State Park in Ohio...just east of Cleveland area... There were 3 other couples with us, Greg and Beth Dean, Don and Betty McGlynn, Tom and Jane Jones...all from NYS. We had a great time despite the rain...thanks to Greg's EZ Up we were able to stay fairly dry and cooked hot dogs on the fire...

We had a great time at the rally and thanks to Jim B for taking on such an enormous job of putting on the show. He's too modest...it's a lot of work Jim and we all know it! Thanks to everyone who helped even by collecting people's trash after dinner or taking the salt and pepper shakers off the table! Thanks to whoever's idea it was to do 2 buffet lines for dinner...that was a great idea that actually worked!!!

As a chapter leader I was happy to do my part in making sure people enjoyed their week....whether giving a handshake and a hello, or directions around the fairgrounds...I enjoyed meeting new friends and listening to their experiences at the rally. MANY times I heard how wonderful the service team was and amazement at the "no-cost" work that was done. I also heard "I will definitely be back in 2 years and I'm going home to look at my calendar to see if I can make a state rally." This is exactly what chapter leaders want to hear! At our state rallies we boast about the North American rally and I know that's why there are so many new members and so many attendees this year!

Welcome to the Heartland family y'all! We're so glad you joined us!

We had a grand time! We also enjoyed the Ontario chapter rally just before. Great seminars, great food, and wonderful entertainment. The venue worked well. We learned a lot, and met plenty of new faces. We felt good to be Heartland owners after seeing how much the company supports us. Thanks to Jim, Julie, and the many volunteers for organizing and executing the event so well.

I just can't understand how Dave slept through most of the hypnotism show. I thought that the oxygen administration would have woken him up!

I had to leave the hypnotist show when the participants had to act like they were in a horse race....so, were they really hypnotized? It seemed like most were...Cookie? What do you think? I heard there were some funny things going on that people might have giggled through at least and no one did that or even winced when the shoes were in their noses.... I had to leave because I was exhausted at that point and I was falling asleep!!

Too bad you had to leave. I almost busted a gut when he used the SOCKS word. Some of the subject's expressions looked like they were going to hurl. Kinda glad I was a lousy hypnosis subject.
