I had a change at work, and will be able to come a day sooner than expected. Instead of arriving late Wednesday afternoon we'll be arriving late Tuesday afternoon. Is this where I should let people know? I have a fairly minor service request submitted.

I called the fairgrounds, and they are O.K.; said we could pay for the extra night when we arrive.

We are set for site WE493 but if we're moved to a full hookup site we wouldn't argue.

Thanks, and sorry for any headaches this causes. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Goshen.

Rolled into the fairgrounds this afternoon. Our scheduled site was'nt ready for us, so have relocated to different site, one of the cancellations, maybe temporarily or maybe for duration of rally. If for the duration will be right in the middle of the draft horse barn section, might be better so I can keep an eye on this Illinois croud that will be rolling in.

Looking forward to seeing everyone as you pull in.

These, in this section, are all back-ins, some have gravel to park on. Grass out the front door. Should work out very nicely. See you in a couple days.

I don't know about this Gene. These Rallies here in Goshen seem to cost you a lot of money everytime you come. See you Sunday.

Hopefully, even those of us who don't know you won't recognize you as the one's wearing the barrels. If you are so attired, please don't stand over any puddles.

Kevin, I hope you will stay in the DH area with the Illinois and Wi. bunch. Can you look at #10. Does it have a gravel pad? What about backing in to #10? We are coming in Friday from IL but probably by then the cattle trucks will be there too!!!! Thanks, Barb..

Barb,

I believe I will be in this spot for the duration. DH #10 does not have gravel, it is all grass. Backing in should be ok, it will look tight once all sites are filled but we will all fit. The cattle trucks should be well clear of this area as well, if any try parking here, the fairground staff is ready to chase them away, as was done yesterday.

Thanks Kevin. Grass if fine unless it hold water!!!! Kathy thought if we could get there before the staff left they would make sure we were ok. Bill gets a little uptight because he can not back in on the blind side...at least with me directing him!!! Not sure of an estimated arrival time but we will be the only one going to DH tomorrow that we know..At least on each side of us will be empty. I know one for sure if not coming until Sun. and they will go into 9. Since you are there is there anything we should not leave home without??? Barb

Barb,
This morning we had a very heavy rain shower, there was some standing water throughout the fairgrounds but it soaked into the ground within a couple hours. As far as backing into your site, I will try to keep a look out for your arrival tomorrow, as well as others throughout the weekend, to assist when I can. I don't know what would be your normal packout for a week of camping, but there are plenty of good roads to walk and/or to ride bike in the fairgrounds, there are/will be plenty of great photo oportunities at the rally as well as around the surrounding area, (walmart, sams club and lowes) are close for anything you forgot to pack.

See you soon, Kevin

Thanks for that little tidbit Kevin! I was going to ask the question as we cannot pick the trailer up at the dealership until Saturday afternoon. We will depart directly from there with an empty refer! :( We will definately need to do some shopping (cold/frozen foods especially) when we get to the Fairgrounds. We should still be in on Sunday but no idea what time. Thanks for reading my mind!

Lin & I have decided to do a Breakfast 9AM this Saturday morning. This is open to any rally goers here at the Fairgrounds. Please RSVP either by phone (779-861-0393) or in person so we have an idea how many we need to feed. See ya Saturday!

We will be coming from Sedalia, MO, down 70 Highway and was wondering if anyone has a good route to Goshen. Also, has anyone heard if any of the roads are closed.

Gary,
I've been wondering the same thing. We'll be leaving from KC on Sun. We are going to spend the night at a PA campground in Anderson, IN just NE of Indianapolis off of I-69. From Anderson, I'm planning on taking Hwy 9 to Marion, then Hwy. 15 on into Goshen. I don't know if the route from Anderson will be any good or not, but hopefully it'll work out!

Two years ago we left Goshen and went south to Tunica. We took 15 south to 9, then to the I-69. Just the opposite of your route. As I recall it was a nice drive. But then again, I don't recall what I had for breakfast this morning.

Peace
Dave
