    It's been a while!

Jim, where is Highlands Ridge? We're in Woodhaven Estates, off of Hammock Rd. Sort of behind 5 Guys Burgers.

    It's been a while!

We found a place near the fairgrounds that isn't terrible. Galatti's. Not sure if it was there during your time there tho. One of our favorites is Blue Lagoon Saloon. No pizza but great bar food. - - - Updated - - - One thing I didn't mention, but goes without saying. We made many many...

    It's been a while!

Hey there old Heartland Friends. I can't believe it's been over a year since my last visit to the forum. A lot has changed in our lives but I'll never regret our decisions. Since we've sold the Bighorn, we've bought a mobile home in Sebring, FL and had a great time this past winter. We were even...

    Title Weight vs NADA Weight

Farmer, Title weights, if noted, are usually Gross Weight. Published weights in Manufacturers literature are fairly close but a lot depends on added options. All RV's have a yellow sticker on the outer left front of the coach that tells carrying capacity. From this, you can calculate the empty...

    Propane regulator

Dan, I remembered a post of yours from the past. I removed all the hoses and blew compressed air through them and everything seemed OK. No oil either. Maybe I'll try replacing the pigtail on the door side and see if that might be the culprit.

    Propane regulator

I've wondered what the reason was for this regulator and this makes sense to me. Our current problem makes me wonder if this regulator is starting to fail. We have a device that alerts us to an empty LP Tank. It's a switch that sits on top of the main regulator. This switch is triggered by the...

    Taking a Break

Hey there fellow Heartland Forum Members. After giving it some serious thought, I've decided to step away from being a Forum Moderator. Those of you who have been here a while may have noticed a lack of activity from me for the last month or so. There is no specific reason, I just felt it was...

    2004 Silverado 3500

Lin & I have decided to stop traveling and will be leaving the Bighorn in FL during the summer. That said, the dually is up for sale. Here is a LINK to the Craigslist posting. The truck is in great shape and has been well maintained. Recent batteries and 2 new tires in front. Injectors replaced...

    Calling All Snowbirds

Florida! We spent 4 years in TX and while we really enjoyed the area and friendly locals we decided to try FL. Florida seems so much greener and scenic. We stay just north of Tampa along the Gulf in Port Richey. Once the awning is extended, it stays out all winter. Plenty to do including great...

Poll: What Landmark 365 Floor Plan should Heartland work on next?

I agree with kakampers, a smaller high end coach would be a big hit. Not that I'm shopping but if it didn't have a dedicated desk area, I wouldn't consider it. I'm so used to the desk in our BH, I couldn't manage without it.

    Broken Flexguard

Re: Plastic Bow?? We used the door hinge repair as well. Pop rivet the hinge to the end of the plastic and used self drillers to attach the hinge to the frame. Stronger than OEM.

    Vacuum cleaners in the coach

When we ordered our BH we opted to not get the central vac option. We had just bought a Dyson DC14. It was heavy but shucks, we just spent $500! It started making wierd noises after a few years and we didn't want to spend a lot of money so we bought a little Hoover Nano cyclonic at WallyWorld...

Finding "DECENT" RV RESORTS ----- a little tough.

We workkamped at Shadow Hills Resort in Indio back in 2009. It's a pretty nice place with a very nice pool and hot tub area. I think the owners are currently managing the resort. The only thing at the time that was not the greatest was the cracking concrete on many sites. I don't know how many...

    Sink fell out!!!

It's definitely a warrantied item but sometimes it's just easier and a lot less time consuming to take matters into your own hands. There are many things I do that at least I know it's been done right.

Finding "DECENT" RV RESORTS ----- a little tough.

We generally use http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ to find sites and hope that peoples reviews are somewhat believable. There are several nice parks in the Valley that I would consider but it mostly depends how much you want to spend.

    Water intrusion damaging wood structure

Lobo. Is there any chance that rear corner of the trailer might have come into contact with something during a hard left turn? It appears that there is a separation between the side wall and the back wall.

    What a wasted space...

I had been in the compartment before and knew there were no "studs" in the area. An easier method is a visual on cool damp mornings when the side of the rig is damp and you can see the framing (dry lines). Lin was OK with it. She trusts me .

    Sleep Number Beds in Bighorn?

When we bought ours from Camping World it was the same configuration as the Select Comfort 4000. I don't know how they may have changed their Model Numbers at this point. I do know that the RV king is 72" wide and 80" long. I'm not sure if you're needing the King or not. The RV queen in the BH...

    Not sure what I did.....

For sure no testing done by the selling dealer. They should have discovered that leak when it was de-winterized. It sounds like a new water heater is going to be needed.

    2006 Bighorn 3055rl

Redneck,, do you have the full independent MorRyde system? If so, be sure to grease the zirk fitting on the bottom of each assembly. There is only one on each wheel. It's pretty easy to find. They say you should have the wheel/tire hanging free to allow grease to surround the entire shaft. There...

    2006 Bighorn 3055rl

Welcome to the Heartland Forum & Family. The 3055 was a very popular floor plan for quite a few years. Good thinking to get the bearing serviced. The only thing I can think of is to have the spring shackles and bushings looked at. Many have installed a wet bolt kit to replace worn shackles. Also...

    Sleep Number Beds in Bighorn?

Another Sleep Number user here. Not quite 8 years yet but still sleeping comfy. Ours is the Camping World RV King version. Last year we added a foam topper to our mattress. It went inside on top of the existing foam and fits nicely.

ATF: North Trail - Want to upgrade livingroom ceiling vent to a Fantastic Fan

You could always pull down the interior trim on the vent and check. I know Menards sells a surface mount system to run wiring in. It's about an inch wide and maybe 5/16 thick. You can probably find 12 volts in an adjoining cabinet and run wires from it. Here is a link to the channel...

Final Landmark 365 Paint Colors - August 2014

I'm pretty sure it's crowned so it shouldn't hold any water. I know my BH has aluminum rafters so it does have a few "low" spots but none that hold any water. The newer rigs with the laminated roof systems should be much better.

Final Landmark 365 Paint Colors - August 2014

I like the Red as well. The water heater location would be a non issue for me as we use 110 most of the time. I only run it on LP when we're hooked up at home and we have guests in the rig. I also like the flat roof. I wonder if 17.5 wheels and tires are optional. For all I know, those pictured...

    Tire Pressure

All good and truthful replies here Alice. I'm guessing your Big Country came with LR "E" tires and the label on the side of the trailer indicates 80 psi. for your trailers gross weight. You can run the G614's at 80 psi but would be better off near 100 psi. At 80 psi they would probably run...

    New Bighorn Owner 2006 3500RL........Questions

I've been meaning to take a picture of our older docking systems to point out the valve for this but never seem to get a round tuit. We had some hail come through last weekend and had a little damage. The shower skylight and front A/C shroud are on order. What I can't seem to find is a match for one of the vents.
