    Good Sam Roadside Assistance

I had Good Sam. Had one good experience and two not so good. The latest was last year. I had a wheel bearing go out to the point I took the wheel off without removing the castle nut. Luckily got stopped before the wheel flew into oncoming traffic. Anyway it was a Sunday and I was on a 2 lane...

Short at output for Prodigy P3

It was a magnet problem. Not sure how it came off but it was wrapped around the spindle. I am assuming it was not put back together correctly at the dealer where they checked all my wheel bearing after I had a failure. I put a new brake assembly and problem solved. Steve

    Outside Tire Tread Wear

I had one tire wearing on the inside and it was an alignment issue. I took it to the spring and alignment shop in town that does all the work for the RV dealer here and they fixed the problem. Steve

Short at output for Prodigy P3

That was one other thought I had that the short could be before that wheel inside the axle. Was it difficult to fish new wires through. Steve

Short at output for Prodigy P3

So I had my Prodigy P3 screen turn red and tell me there was a "short at output" "no brakes" and there were no brakes. So many crawled in the rig and could hear by one backing plate a "ticking" sound so I cut the wires and it stopped and the brakes were back at the other 3 wheels. Since I've...

Good Sam Roadside Assistance versus Coach Net

There is an RV dealer in Hayward that is sending someone out to replace the bearings and tow it back to the dealership to repair the brakes. I gave them a list of other things since it is at a shop anyway. Steve

Good Sam Roadside Assistance versus Coach Net

Well let me give you my story from today. We were leaving Hayward, WI today for our 3 hour drive home. Literally 10 minutes into the trip I said what's that noise? It stopped and then started again and then I saw the smoke. Well the driver's side rear axle bearings went out. I mean out! I...

    TV Mount

Why not get a mount that mounts flat to the back wall of the opening? My Sundance has a similar TV location and there was some blocking in the back wall and I put a flat wall mount there. Steve

    Sundance 3000ck

Alcohol abuse . . . you must be fined accordingly! :p I have never lost one to the abuse. I just crack that one open immediately. Adult beverages is the primary use and was the original draw to the outside kitchen. The rear outside pantry is our "liquor cabinet". Steve

    Sundance 3000ck

I leave hand soap and an ice bucket sit on the counter in the rear kitchen and don't notice them moving much if at all. Occasionally a bottle of water or can of beer will fall when you open the fridge door. Steve

    Sundance 3000ck

    Chattering.

I have a Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C and I ran 2 2000 watt Yamahas in parallel with a hard start capacitor on my AC and I still had chattering in the relay of the EMS. I burned the surge protector circuit board up during a week of camping with the Yamahas running. The guys at Progressive...

What did you do to your camper today?

I had a little more crown/camber put in the rear axle. I had the driver side rear tire worn quite a bit on the inside. Also the alignment shop noticed a baseball size bulge in the passenger side front tire that must have happened on our last trip because I had just checked them. Steve

    Yamaha generator

If you use a Progressive Industries hard wired surge/voltage protector be careful of the Yamaha 2000 watts in parallel. I talked to them and they have problems with the Yamahas not being able to handle the inductive load at AC start up. I sold my Yamahas. Steve 2007 GMC Duramax/Allison B&W...

    Rear Towing Hitch

I drew this and had one of the guys fab it up at work. I ordered an unfinished 2" receiver so there was no grinding of paint to weld it on and then had the company that does our painting paint it for me. Just bolts thru the flange on the ibeam of the frame. Steve 2007 GMC Duramax/Allison B&W...

What did you do to your camper today?

Jig saw, speaker template, masking tape and take your time. I was leary too but it worked fine. Also watch the size. I couldn't use any speaker with a cover larger than 7" in diameter or they would have hit the trim below the hole. Steve 2007 GMC Duramax/Allison B&W Companion 2012 Sundance 3300CK

What did you do to your camper today?

Just replaced the stock outside Jensen speakers with Alpine SPS-M600 because one of the stock speakers quit working. Night and day difference. I did have to add a 1/2" to the diameter of the holes. Steve 2007 GMC Duramax/Allison B&W Companion 2012 Sundance 3300CK

    Towtectors

I have a GMC also. The exhaust is angle out the back passenger side. The top of the Magnum Mudflaps is a formed piece of diamond plate. The rubber is bolted to the bottom of the diamond plate. No danger of melting. My dad has a Ram and Rock Tamers that are all out of shape from the heat. Steve

    Diesel lower than Gas

I seem to remember that happening to me in Indiana. I pulled to where the semi's fill up and I needed to enter a DOT number to turn the pump on so I went in and the lady started the pump for me and then the price was with tax. They must have companies with DOT numbers pay taxes later. Steve
