this site may have your answers. I looked at them once but thought they were over priced. Bought an HDT and have never been happier for a lot less money.

Ours is registered as a motor home in Colorado and no CDL required. Most places have RV parking when on vacation. Disney land and Universal studios have plenty of parking. The truck does not take up any more space than a 1 ton dually. I do not park in the spot outside the front door. I can walk...
I run a 600 watt system with 4 6volt batteries. The kids have the tv's on all day and night watching satellite or play station. Wife likes the thermostat at 68 all night. We use a prosine 1800 watt inverter that draws very little power at idle. Only run the genny to brew coffee or microwave.
Hey Don you bought yourself a great trailer. We have had ours for nine years with 80K miles and are vey happy with it. Like people have said go over your trailer top to bottom to see it all. I put new tires on mine every two years. They may look good but they wear on the inside. Easier to change...
Beasley do you have the info on the hydraulic landing gear you had installed. Planning on replacing my gear with new electric legs but would rather have hydraulic
Been talking with David in the warranty department at Dexter about the issue. He is taking care of the problem. Dexter is a great company that takes care of issues with their products. Would buy their products anytime.
If you are spending top dollar for a trailer why skimp on the hitch. They do what they claim and are worth the money . Been running mine for twelve years without an issue
Chief I have been using the trailersaver TSLB2H for twelve years and it is all that they say it is. The money spent is good investment with a new fiver.
It has been hard not to chime in on the subject because I am biased. My first HDT was an 98 International 9200. We put 100k on it in ten years and spent $350 a year on an oil change and filters. Our new Volvo we have had for four years and have spent $1K on the wood deck. $400 on a yearly oil...
Like BlackT said I used lag screws into the plywood decking with plenty of sealant. Been on my RV for eight years and in very strong wind conditions without any damage or leaks. Ran the wires down the tank vent pipe into the basement.
Re: Anyone been duped by a dealer on weight ratings?
Hey Scott sorry bout your troubles. The 4200 is way to much trailer for a SRW. Pin weight is going to be in the 4k to 5k range. That is a lot of weight on two rear tires.
When I called Heartland they wanted $150 for the pair of flairs and $300 to ship them. You should be able to find the aluminum side piece at a local supplier.
I have had our HDT for twelve years and would never go back to pulling a 18k trailer with a pickup. Ours is titled as an Motor Coach. Plates and ins is very reasonable. The HDT is only two feet longer than my F350 crew cab.
Lance I bought them from a trailer repair shop here in Denver. Some times the factory u-bolts are long enough if you can get them loose. Sometimes they need to be cut off. The problem is most springs are made in China with cheap steal that does not hold its arch.
