Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about the eating activities during the rally. For the Meet and greet on Thursday the club is providing dogs, burgers and buns with the condiments. You just need to bring anything that goes with that, chips and dip, etc. Club is also providing the ice cream and toppings, if you want you can bring cookies, brownies or any dessert that goes with ice cream
For the breakfast of course the meat and eggs are taken care of, you can bring a breakfast side dish, biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, coffee cake, etc. And you can bring juice or milk.
For Saturday potluck, club is providing brisket and chicken. Bring a side dish, salad, veggie, etc. Or dessert. Also club is providing all papergoods for the rally. Coffee will be provided at breakfast but you need to bring your own drinks otherwise. If you have any questions please just ask. See you soon!

count me in for some cowboy beans and a Mac salad for my 2 dinners. Already covered breakfast

Debbie will make mustard potato salad for the pot luck meal. For the meet and greet, I'm bringing nothing except an appetite and a thirst. Debbie might add something to the meal. Looking forward to meeting everyone next week. Later and have a great day.

BTW, I'm not sure if Ted is gong to throw his hat in the ring for the Full-timers party. I guess we'll have to wait and see. He did say he'll make up his mind by next Thursday. If you remember, he turned around and went home after driving 1/2 way to the last N. Mex. rally.(over donuts). I'll take the lead from Sweetwater to the rally and have a good supply of donuts just in case.

Don, did I read somewhere that it is against the law to transport bacon into New Mexico? Seems like there was a pretty steep fine.

Seems like there was a pretty steep fine.

I think that law only applies if it is not all cooked and eaten!

However, I did read in the fine print of the 'Makin Bacon' legislation that the fine will be doubled and a mandatory 90 days in jail if the bacon gets burned!

This law (and photo) came about after last year's NM HOC Spring Rally in Alto.

George and John, to address some of your concerns about importing bacon, we spent long hours in Santa Fe on that very legislation and was able to sneak in a couple of small rule changes as to the law. Towit, if said bacon is flown in from other parts of the country and prepared by a well know chef it is possible to defer any jail time. However, the chef will be responsible for the quality of bacon and the conduct of his staff. We are concerned with the individual that has been preparing the sausage as he has been having difficulty addressing the preparation time of his product, as in the Kinder rally..However, with chef Baker, I am confident will have this under control. Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention and the quality of food is upmost important. Honestly I would be more concerned with Beletti's eggs than anything...just a thought :) See you soon!!

Don't want to brag, but look at that burnt stuff in Pat's tray. I gave him the easiest cooker. The one I'm on only knows high heat. You know, looking at the bacon, BLT's would be great. Anyone have a toaster, tomatoes and lettuce to bring. I could even do fried eggs for the BLT's. In case you can't tell who I am, I'm the better looking one in the picture. Ed handles the sausage. He's too slow to handle the bacon flippin.
Can't wait to get this rally started. See everyone soon. Later and have a great day.

Don, you talk about J. B's eggs and you could become a candidate for the Unacceptables.lol Do I see funds for your rally being redacted?

I have a toaster...dumped the four slicer for a two slicer before I left Denver, though...

By the by...I had that same grill that Pat is using and gave it to my old neighbor when I sold the house...

In Pat's defense...I despised it because it burned the Krap out of everything!

Although I think it was you that told me about putting water in it last year at Alto when I took this photo...

I don't know if I am acceptable enough to become one of the Unacceptables...

I'm workin' on it... :p

Well John you know if we count them we would probably have to count all the dogs coming as well. Not sure Frank has enough bacon for that, our Peanut likes bacon too :) See you in a few...

Hey guys, we are just a few days away from the rally and we still have a couple sites open. Would love for you to come to NM. Also, wondering if anybody would be interested in having their coach washed, nothing definite yet but seeing if there was any interest.

Don - I may be interested in the coach wash depending on cost and methods. We should arrive late Monday afternoon with the Wolbecks.
