slide sweep not coming out

if using caulk on the slide out roofs, just remember the they are rubber and silicone caulk will not bond and even if just trying to get the seal to flip over I would suggest using a dicor caulk. just my $.02

Yep, the dicor for sure. After thinking about it I did get some silicone caulk on the slide a few month ago when working on the gutters. It did not stick and all I had to do was rub it off. Before I put on the auto trim I cleaned the area with 1/2 alcohol and 1/2 water. Then cleaned again with just water and dried well. I got a good bond with the auto trim. It still works great no more having to pull the the sweep out.

Not sure if it would chew up the rubber as the sand paper will soon wear down. Also water is going to ruin the paper very quickly IMO.
