I have the same tires size as you. I just put on Lt 235/80r 16 and they work great. Just put 4000 mile on them. I am good for years. I used Bridgestone tires they were about 225 dollars put on.
I have had to rotate the right rear tire 2 times now. So I was under there looking at it and looks like it might be welded on a little wrong. Tire is wearing on the outside, so I put on spare and made it home, what to do now.
I have been too Alaska, Maine, CA. 2 times Colorado and several other trips, and the Maxxas tires are all holding up great. Will buy again..............
Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.
I put on Maxxis tires this spring. Went to Alaska, back to Iowa and went to Colorado. This was about 10,000 miles. These tires worked very good and I will by this again.......PS if they can handle the Alaska Highway they can handle anything.
I put on Maxxis tires this spring and have pulled the trailer over 10,000 miles and no problem's. I have been to Alaska and other places. The roads up there are not the best but they took it.
Dave is right, there is a valve that prevents this, other wise your tank would fill up and overflow. You might want to read the owners manual a little bit. Have a good trip.
We are home from our trip. The Cyclone worked great, no problem's. I did lose my spare tire some where in Alberta ... I was parked at a rest area west of Edmonton with a another Cyclone and the next day when checking springs I seen the tire was gone. The trip was long and will not go again, can...
That is the way I did it too. It took a lot of grease to fill it, but I kept watching it and they all filled about the same. I am in AK. now and not a lick of trouble 4,000 miles as of now. And my new Maxxis tires are working great too......I put Indian head shellack on the seals when I pressed...
I just put on Maxxis and now I am in Alaska and they are working great. Very bad roads in the Yukon. I am wandering when my springs are going to break. The sun is on overtime up here in Fairbanks.
I let mine expire and they sent me a 5 month deal for $25. Then $13 a month after that. I can cancel if I want after the 5 month cheap deal. I can't be on here all morning we are packing for Alaska. By.
I just put on a 5th airborne pin box too. Took it for a run to get new Maxxis tires and what a diff. It took the bad roads around here just fine. Alaska here we come.
I always put about 5 or a little more gal of fresh water in tank when done emptying. It will keep the tank wet and able to break up any solids left in there. IT Works..........
I built a 73 gal tank and love it. I ran a 3/8 hose to the fill of the pickup tank and took out the metal spacer thing and welded a 3/8 hose nipple in it. I have a simple 1/4 turn valve at the tank and then can go very long time. I also look for cheaper fuel.
